Welcome to Team Rudder, LLC. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Mental Game Coaching Professional (MGCP) in Columbia, MO. With over 20 years in the mental health field,
I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to create a safe, supportive space where real change can take root.
Sports have always been an important part of my life. From a young age, I loved both competing in and watching a wide variety of sports. Over the years, I played soccer, baseball, football, golf, basketball, volleyball, racquetball, and even bowling and archery. I loved to compete and to be part of a team—sports were a way for me to have fun, burn off energy, and connect with friends and family through a shared love of the game.
My passion for sports naturally extended into coaching. As a U.S. Soccer–licensed coach, I've led numerous soccer teams across various age levels. The lessons I've learned through sports have shaped much of who I am today—teaching me to push through setbacks, stay humble, work hard, and find meaning in the process rather than just the outcome. Passing on those lessons to the next generation of athletes has been both deeply fulfilling and a privilege.
I graduated in 2005 with a degree in Social Work from Saint Louis University and soon after moved to Columbia, Missouri, to start a family and formally begin my career in the mental health field. Over the next 13 years, I served in leadership roles at the Missouri Department of Mental Health, where I managed federal grant initiatives and worked alongside multidisciplinary teams. Those experiences helped me develop a deep understanding of leadership, collaboration, and high performance in complex systems.
In 2016, I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Missouri–Columbia. A few years later, in 2021, I launched Team Rudder, LLC to pursue my passion for clinical counseling and performance coaching.
Through my practice, I've combined my background in mental health with my lifelong love of sports and performance. My mission is to help people steady their minds, navigate difficult times, build confidence, and rediscover the joy in who they are and what they do. Having learned and grown through my own personal and professional journey, I find deep meaning in walking alongside others—athletes and non-athletes alike—as they do the same.
Beyond reflection, I provide tools you can carry into daily life.
Practical Support
Every client’s story matters and is met without judgment.
Compassion

My approach is guided by the belief that every person has the ability to grow. I know what it feels like to struggle, lose joy, and rebuild—and
I bring that perspective into every session, offering both compassion and practical tools.
